THE MARK
Two columns of equal height on one shared foundation. Two (fratres —
brothers), equal, resting on something common. Architecturally a portico: the
entrance to an institution.

IMPORTANT — THE LOCKUP WORDMARK IS LIVE TEXT, NOT OUTLINES

The production typeface is Neue Haas Grotesk Display (weight 700, letter-
spacing 0.09em). Inter is the interim substitute used across the website.
The lockup SVGs reference that font stack rather than converting the wordmark
to paths, so that the correct typeface flows through automatically once it is
licensed.

Consequence: opening a lockup SVG on a machine without Inter or Neue Haas
Grotesk Display will substitute a system sans and the letter-spacing will be
wrong. Before sending a lockup to print, or to any third party, outline the
text in the final licensed typeface and re-export.

The mark-only files have no such dependency and are safe everywhere.

CLEAR SPACE
Minimum clear space on all four sides equals the width of one column stroke
measured at the size in use. Nothing — type, rule, image edge or another
logo — enters that zone.

MINIMUM SIZE
Mark alone: 16px / 5mm.
Horizontal lockup: 96px / 25mm.
Below those sizes the base rule closes up. Do not compensate by removing the
base — use the mark alone at a larger size instead.

COLOUR USE
On Cream Parchment (#fff9ee) or any light ground: Bark Brown (#3f322a).
On photography or any dark ground: Cream Parchment or pure white.
Never: gradients, shadows, outlines, rotation, stretching, recolouring to an
accent colour, or placing the mark inside a filled shape.
